We put the Christmas decorations up the weekend after Thanksgiving.
Lucas got a special treat this year... his own tree in his room! It's just a mini, but he loves looking at it after we read books and tuck him in. This tree skirt was made by my Great Aunt Dorothy and was given to Brent and I as a wedding gift. I love that my children can enjoy it, too.
We have a special ornament on the tree for Hannah's first Christmas. She will love all of the paper, boxes and tissue paper that come with Christmas!
We put up one (of the three) trees in our house while Hannah was napping. We were all anxious to see what she thought of the Christmas tree. When she woke up, Lucas was jumping up and down, he was excited for her to see the tree! Brent got her out of her crib and brought her to the living room. At first she just stared... then she reached for the tree and blabbered on and on. It was magical to watch.
Her reaction the first week was much more about investigation. She pulled ornaments off the tree, tried to eat them, brought them to Lucas who ran back to the tree and replaced it on a branch.
Lucas' new ornament; his favorite movie characters from 2011.
