~Ryan is 18 months~

This handsome fella turned 18 months old on Christmas Day.

Oh, Ryan!  Our sweet, cuddly babe!

Ryan is curious, mischievous and smart.  He can climb on anything - couch, dining room chairs, bunk bed ladders, toilet seats… mostly all things he shouldn't.  At the mention of "go" he's picking up his shoes and tugging on his coat.  If left bundled for too long, however, he will start shedding those layers.    Ryan is happy to go to bed or nap and is very willing to walk to his room for a new, clean diaper.  {I wonder how potty training will go?}

It's fun to watch Ryan interact with Lucas and Hannah. Hannah can convince him to play along in just about any activity and Lucas is teaching him how to race cars and throw balls {in the house}.  The dump truck Ryan got from Santa makes a lot of trips up and down our hallway.

He melts my heart!

His vocabulary is growing everyday, he's learning names with family member's pictures and his body parts.  His favorite is his belly button.  When I ask for a hug and kiss "bye" his open mouth kisses are slobbery and wonderful and he pats me on the back during a hug {swoon}.  When he wakes up in the morning, or from nap, you can often find Hannah or Lucas (who has climbed into his crib) and reading books, reading or singing.

In short, this boy is perfect.  :-)

Christmas 2014

Our family.

Our silly family.

Three of my favorite faces in the whole world.

A dress to *cheer* about!

Personalized Louisville Slugger bat.

His first cowboy boots.

I just love these happy smiles.

Off to Grandma and Grandpa's.

The Iowa family, minus the Belgian.

Serious concentration followed by oohs and awes from everyone.

Adele and Abby.

Decked out in princess gear.

The obligatory cousins photo, which Hannah was not happy about participating in.

A few days later...
Hannah and Ryan.

Silly faces from Hannah and Cameron.

Up high!

I wish this wasn't blurry because it was an awesome moment of Hannah leaping into Uncle Brian's arms over gift excitement!

Clutching his ISU jersey like someone is gonna steal it!

Ryan and Nolan - discovering each other.  :-)

Lucas spent hours building circuits and making connections (pun intended).  Such a fun gift!

Christmas:  the reason and the season are so wonderful!

Christmas music

December brings Christmas programs for all three kids!  It's fun to watch them perform.
Hannah and Ryan's daycare program was first.

Beautifying.  I'm not sure who was more excited about the curls and the chance to get all pretty - mom or Hannah.  Regardless, we both had fun.

Ryan did not want this picture.

But he didn't mind the rest.  Mostly.

Happy smiles.
No chance of anyone not knowing they are siblings!

Mama and her favorite girl!

Hannah and Gramma Connie.

Papa Steve and Ryan.

Sister and brother.
I think Hannah looks like a doll here… the cheeks, the smile, her eyes.
Ryan looks like he could fall asleep!

Kassidy, Hannah and Kade.

Jingle bells is serious business.

Got bells?  Will ring.

Hannah and Great Pa.

Great Pa and Ryan.

Santa makes an appearance at the end of the evening.
This is as close as Hannah and Ryan would get.

I tried for a Santa photo for Ryan.  He wasn't interested.  At all!

A few nights later I made them pose again.

Charlie and Lucas.

Owen and Lucas (with his eyes closed).

Papa Steve and Ryan, with Great Pa in the background.

Hannah, Molley and Kade.

The Kindergarten and 1st grade classes.

Gramma Connie, Lucas and Papa Steve.

The last Christmas program of the year was church.
