Christmas: ours

Christmas Eve.

new pjs

new pjs

He was so excited that Hannah gave him an Iowa State football...

...it deserved a hug!

Pretty shoes!

Brent thinks we introduced her to a shoe addiction!

For several days we lived in a sea of wrapping paper, boxes and new toys.

Christmas: feldpauschs

The Feldpausch grandchildren.  Not any easier to photograph almoat 2 thru 12.
The oldest eight were good, it was the youngest (sitting) who wasn't in the mood for photos.

A full house.

Pretty new scarf from Aunt Ann and Uncle Koen.

iPad entertainment.
Notice the cardinal and gold theme?

A really neat and easy to travel with chalk and eraser set.

Lots of fun!

A good time with family and a visit to my grandparents completed our trip.
My grandpa turns 91 on January 1st!

Christmas: perrys

The three Perry grandchildren.
This is what it's like to take a picture of a 5, almost 2 and 17 month old.

Who is more excited?  Look at Gramma Connie in the background of this photo :)

Sadie got presents from us, too.  The kids were so excited to give Sadie gifts.

Poor Sadie, she gets a lot of love from the kids.

Stompeez slippers - as seen on TV.  Oh, the thrill of opening these!

Results from Ann's scan

The cancer injuries on the liver, lungs and spleen have become smaller.  There was no growth on the lymph nodes around the kidneys and the cancer marker value went down (meaning less cancer cells in the blood).  This positive news is what we were praying for!

She had round one of her second series of chemo today; the second series will be once a week for the next nine weeks.

Thank you to all of you who have prayed for Ann!  Continued prayers are welcome.

Merry Christmas!

Lucas' favorite Christmas song:  "Go, tell it on the mountain that Jesus Christ is born."

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Perry Christmas

A good ol' Roundhouse Christmas!

Cameron and Hannah.

The pile of presents keeps getting bigger and bigger.

And the family circle keeps getting bigger and bigger!

Entertainment by Great Pa.

And lots of entertainment by Loren and Kiley.
They are so good to play with Lucas and Hannah - they should have about 14 kids of their own. :)

I love the expressions on Kiley and Lucas' faces.
And Luke looks bored.

birthday celebrations

Birthday boy.

Lucas hasn't had an official "friend" birthday party... we keep telling him he can have one in Kindergarten.  In the meantime, we've been appeasing him with having our very special friends, the Vander Wilts, celebrate with us.  Then he gets Jacob, Josh and Jonah!

I love the joy in these next photos.

So happy.  So sweet.  So perfect.

Sister {loves} sweets!

A family birthday party isn't complete to Lucas without his cousins.  We have always celebrated his birthday with cousin Abby's birthday at Thanksgiving.  For some reason, this year it clicked for him that all of his cousins get to have a birthday party at their own house.  So... Aunt Jen to the rescue and they came to celebrate with Lucas, again.  :)

Lucas picked his cake theme, helped frost, and put the cars on (after driving them all over and smooshing the frosting.  I didn't even care...it's his cake!)

The best part:  Putting him to bed the night of his birthday he told me, "It was a great day, mom."

Happy Birthday, Lucas Mitchell!

Our perfect FIVE year old! Happy Birthday, sweet boy!

He loves: his Hot Wheels cars and race track, the iPad, anything Cyclone sports, spaghetti, snuggling, ANY time he gets to play with friends.

From this:

To this, in FIVE SHORT YEARS:
We've loved you every single minute, buddy!

Birthday festivity photos to come!
