Cabo San Lucas, part 3

One evening we took a jazz and wine sunset catamaran tour.
This was the one (and only) day that there were clouds in the sky.  But it was still a beautiful evening!

The public beaches that we passed on the catamaran were created by incredible erosion.

The El Arco de Cabo San Lucas, or Lands End, is a distinctive rock formation at the southern tip of Cabo San Lucas.  Cabo itself is the most extreme southern location on Mexico's Baja California Peninsula.  The location of the arch is where the Pacific Ocean meets the Sea of Cortez.

Greg's Titanic moment.

Enjoying the wine!

Ben, Loree, Trista, Teresa and Brent.
We were all (including the random people behind us) oohing and awwing over the whales that were jumping in the ocean!

This picture is no where near as awesome as seeing these beautiful, huge animals jump out of the water.  But I wanted to show the blurry photo to prove that we did see many whales… but you just can't capture it justly.  In the mornings, we could whale watch from our balcony.  It was really cool.

Sunset on the catamaran.

Same sunset, three minutes later.

Exact same sunset, just a couple minutes later.

Cabo San Lucas, part 2

Brent and Teresa.

Greg and Loree.

Trista and Ben.

On our first night at the resort the had a Fiesta Night with authentic Mexican food and traditional dancing.  The elaborate dresses/suits and dancing were great!

They hosted a "Mexican Macho contest which amounted to a few guests volunteering to look goofy.  Ben and Trista volunteered and wouldn't ya know it?  Ben won!

We read a lot of reviews that recommended The Office (restaurant) so that was the first place we explored off the resort.

VERY colorful!

Trista and Loree :-)

Just a giant cruise ship 500 feet from shore.

Enjoying my new favorite vacation drink.

Trista's fancy looking beverage.

Ben and Brent.

The tables and chairs are all placed in the sand!  So fun!

Cabo San Lucas, part 1

Brent and I took a vacation at the end of January… a kid free vacation. :-)
We went to Cabo San Lucas and stayed at the Sirena Del Mar.  Ahhhh-mazing.

The view from our terrace/balcony.

Sunny sunrise ;-)

Infinity pool.

The red arrow is pointing to our room :-)
We spent many, many hours in those chairs and in that pool (with a swim up bar).

We ate breakfast on our balcony everyday.

I napped in the balcony hammock a couple of times.
