Lucas: photo dump

The latest on the six year old at our house --
He is sports obsessed, loves his brother and sister, plays well with his sister (even playing babies), always wants to hold Ryan (who always wants to wiggle away at this stage) and is a good student.  He loves school and we had a great parent teacher conference in February.  His favorite parts continue to be recess and PE; he's doing really well with reading and math.

Big and little.

Gramma Connie taught Lucas how to tie his shoes waaaay back in October.
Hallelujah!

Fuzzy hair about to be buzzed by faux hair stylist, mom.

The elementary music teacher loves to tease the kids about the "hole in their head" when they lose a tooth.  Lucas has a double hole!

Random old photo I found of Lucas at about 8 months old.

He is a super big brother, a good helper, responsible and caring.

Lucas and Ava.

Latest reading obsession - The Magic Tree House series with Jack and Annie.

Celebrating Dr. Seuss' birthday - Ava and Lucas as Thing 1 and Thing 2.

A bit snowy :-)

Drawing a fort with Jonah.

Ava and Lucas at the spring music concert.

For many years now, Lucas has talked about Ava being his girlfriend.  At Hannah's princess themed birthday party, Leslee asked Lucas if he treats Ava like a princess.  Without missing a beat, Lucas responded, "No, I treat her like a queen."  Woah!  Uncle Brian, take a lesson on how to treat Leslee from your nephew.  ;-)

Belting the Star Spangled Banner at the spring concert.

Enjoying the first day of spring 2014.
I guess Ryan needs sunglasses, too!

Basketball obsessed.  {Note the crooked wall hanging from wild rebounds.}  He is also football obsessed and I predict there will be some baseball obsession this summer, too.  Lucas knew all of the ISU men's basketball player names and numbers, often knew game statistics, knows all of the teams in the Big 12 and their school colors.

Silly faces from Lucas and Owen.

Way back last fall when we didn't get our deck furniture put away before it snowed, Brent had excellent help.

Muscles.
