The weather was great the week of the county fair. Ryan was 2 1/2 weeks old and enjoyed his first fair experience. Lucas got to ride on a float during the parade and thought that was big stuff. Hannah was glad to sit and catch {way too much} candy.
She loved the pigs and was squealing with excitement! {She was squealing, not the pigs}
Who knows, maybe we'll have pig-loving kids?!?!
The rinky-dink rides at the county fair are mostly the only ones our kids get to ride on. We don't do rides at the state fair and we don't usually have a lot of other chances to ride carnival rides. Nothing is better than a ride with your best friend! Jonah and Lucas.
Hannah loved the boats. I was surprised she was so good at moving around in them... I thought she might get stranded in the middle of the pond.
Lucas participated in the kid's pedal pull again this year. Both of his 'pulls' were in the 35 feet range.
Pedal pull ribbon.
You can see Ryan in the background... this was mostly his take on the fair - asleep and enjoying the free ride.
On the last night of the fair I took Lucas to the demolition derby. It was too loud for Hannah and Brent stayed home with her and Ryan. It was the first time (about two hours) that I was away from Ryan. A funny feeling. But before the demo derby we made one last loop through the barns because Lucas said he was sad the fair was over until next year. I'm a county fair girl and I totally know the feeling he was talking about. It's fun to enjoy it while it is here but sort of sad when it's over. We still get to enjoy the state fair, though!
