We celebrated Daddy's birthday!
Hannah is checking.out.that.cake!
Daddy's choice was his Grandma Perry's double layer chocolate cake with chocolate frosting.
The kids and I spent a drizzly Saturday morning in Ames watching the VEISHEA parade in April.
We saw Coach Rhoads, the ISU Marching Band, veterinary students walking dogs {Hannah's favorite part} and lots more.
We even got some candy!
We went to Uncle Brian's house to celebrate his birthday.
Uncle Brian was showing Papa Steve a new gun and Lucas had to see it, too.
He can't wait until he can be old enough to get a BB gun. The thought of it makes my heart race.
Stay tuned 4-6 years to see which parent gets to pick the age of receiving at our house. (I say ten, Brent says eight).

Hannah discovered the {very dusty} mirror behind our bedroom door.
She made all sorts of faces and gave herself kisses. Since then, it's been a daily event.
We went to the Family Fest in our community again this year and the kids enjoyed it
So many fun activities designed especially for the kids and it was all free.
There was a REAL Tow Mater truck there. Lucas love seeing him and being able to touch him!
Lucas showing off his football "tattoo" painted on his cheek.
