Farming

Harvest was completed about a week ago. There is still field work to be done, but since the ground froze, that came to a halt. Here are a few pictures from my phone of the last day of combining.

Lucas learned a lot about farming this fall. He knows the difference between corn and beans and said "uh-oh" when the hopper was filling up. He knew that meant we needed to dump in a wagon and would start looking to see if someone was coming with the grain cart.

Lucas was riding with Papa in the tractor and I was in the combine with Brent. If you look closely, you can see his red hat. I'm sure he was helping steer the wheel!

Just a disclaimer on this photo... Lucas was standing right in front of me, inside the combine. While you can't see the window, he was completely safe from all moving parts.
Farming is in his blood!
