::Lucas:: 6 weeks

It is time to show you how much Lucas has been growing!  He was six weeks old yesterday.

On his one month birthday, Lucas helped celebrate his cousin Claire's birthday.  All of his cousins like to hold 'baby Lucas.'  He continues to be a great sleeper.  He averages 6-8 hours a night!  And best of all, Lucas is a happy baby and brings mom and dad lots of smiles!

::Lucas:: 2 months

Last week was a busy one for us.  Lucas had his two month check up and he weighed 12 pounds, 2 ounces and has grown to 24 inches.  He got his first round of shots and didn't like them very much! 

I returned to work last week and somehow, we all survived (okay, I survived).  I'm thankful I can return part-time for a while and treasure the days I am home with him.

On Saturday night Lucas rolled over from his tummy to his back! 

The latest pictures are attached. 

- Lucas was baptized on February 3^rd and celebrated with his family.

- He continues to be a great sleeper and can do it just about anywhere.

- Lucas enjoys his bath and loves being read to.  He coos and babbles along with most books; his favorites are about animals.

- Time has gone by so fast, it seems like he was born just yesterday!

- Lucas has lots of time to grow into this shirt, but he loves his Cyclones.

::Lucas:: 3 weeks

I started this blog in November 2009, when Lucas was almost two years old.  Unlike Hannah that you've seen pictures of since the day she was born, I've only shared baby pictures of Lucas as there was an appropriate topic.  Not too long ago I came across some emails I had sent to friends and family when Lucas was really a baby.  In honor of his upcoming FOURTH birthday, I thought I would post these ~ exactly as I emailed them.  There are several posts to lead up to his special day...

Pictures: It's never too early to create a lil Cyclone fan!  Lucas had a great first Christmas.  We celebrated with both sides of grandparents and families and Lucas got lots of hugs and kisses (and presents).  He likes to ride and go places in his car seat; he is a great traveler.  And the last picture - well, Mom takes my picture a lot...

At his two week check up Lucas had gained over a whole pound!  He doesn't sleep through the night yet, but most nights he can go for a six hour stretch (which we are thankful for)!  Brent and I are doing well and enjoying every minute of being parents.

Perry Christmas

It was time to gather at the Roundhouse again for Perry family Christmas.  It is always fun to catch up with everyone; the family keeps growing!  Five Perry children, thirteen grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren.  There were two new great-grand babies since last Christmas - Hannah and Cameron.  We did miss Clint, Becca, Tricia, Nick and Joshua.  :( 

It is so fun to watch the great grandchildren (second cousins) play together. 

Don't worry, Rylie isn't injured.  The wheelchair was just too much fun to resist playing with and Audrey was an excellent nurse.

It's neat to see cousins of all ages, spouses, aunts, uncles and great grandchildren hang out together and have a good time.

I was a little sad... Lucas chose to sit with Wyatt, Landon, Audrey, Rylie and Walker over mom and dad. 

I guess I should get used to it, right?

Somebody else was tired, too.  All that playing tuckered her out. 

Once there were some toys to play with, Lucas came on over to our side (and the bigger kids went upstairs to play.)

During the grab-bag game, Uncle Mike got some Big Sexy Hair products. Very funny.
