Cousins Vacation

Our annual cousins vacation was missing some of our regulars.  My Dad had open heart surgery about ten days before the surgery and therefore, he and my mom stayed home.  We missed them a lot but it was the best for my dad to stay home and recover.

We stayed at a house in Wisconsin Dells and swam, rode slides and even screamed on a few extreme rides!  Hours and hours of fun!

Vacation, part 4

We enjoyed a visit to Grants Farm.

Grants Farm is a free animal park that was once owned by Ulysses S. Grant.

Our girl is such an animal lover!

Camel rides!

The majestic Clydesdale horses of Anheuser Busch.

Hotel selfies!

St. Louis Cardinals baseball game vs. Pittsburgh Pirates.

It was a gorgeous night at the ballpark!

About the 7th inning, Hannah, Ryan and I went for a short walk around the stadium to the Family Pavilion to stretch.  I had no idea that socks were required until we go into it.  Hannah was wearing socks with her sneakers but Ryan had on sandals and no socks.  The high school attendant at the play area suggested I go to the gift shop and buy socks for him, or I could take mine off and he could wear them.  We had walked through the gift shop earlier and I was sure that none of the $18 St. Louis Cardinal socks would fit him.  So - he wore mine.

Hot, sweaty fun!

Cardinals WIN!

Another fun and memorable Perry family vacation!

Vacation, part 3

Our next stop was a tour of Busch Stadium.
A statue of Stan "The Man" Musial sits at the entrance of Busch Stadium.  Musial played his entire career as a Cardinal and ended his baseball fame with 475 home runs.

Statues of former Cardinals baseball players inducted into the Hall of Fame.

Shortstop Ozzie Smith.

In the dugout!

Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis
This is one of the largest collections of mosaics in the world, created by 20 different artists and covering 83,000 square feet.  The installation began in 1912 and was completed in 1988.  There are 41.5 million pieces of glass tessare with over 7,000 colors!

We lit a candle for Aunt Ann.

This little guy saw his first movie in the theatre.  Well, he saw parts of the "Minion" movie when he wasn't finding excuses to leave his seat.
